"More than 100 house trailers have arrived at George Field to relieve the housing shortage on the field and in surrounding communities. It is expected the trailers will be ready for occupancy in two months. The next few weeks will be occupied with redecorating and reconditioning the trailers which will be installed to the west of the housing area’s administration building. Adequate streets and sidewalks will be constructed, and a strict sanitary system will be enforced. The administration building, which houses a post exchange, library, beauty shop, recreation room and offers laundry and dry-cleaning facilities, will be available for the use of the trailer residents."
