Photographs and Artifacts
Please help collect and retain our local history. Any historic item that you wish to donate will be preserved and appreciated. Original photos are always welcome, but if you wish to keep the original, please send a copy of a high resolution scan so that the image itself can be added to our collection.
Time
Our Society like any other organization depends on volunteers. We need researchers, genealogists, photographers, tech specialists...any special talent that you have, we can probably utilize. Few of us will stride across the pages of history and leave big footprints. But each of us have an opportunity to accomplish something worthy of being remembered. Please help us with that mission. Some corporations have agreed to donate money for vounteer hours provided by their employees, either presently employed or retired. Please check with yours.
Money
Membership Dues, Donations,and Sales of Publications fund the Society's projects. Our annual budget includes expenses for the daily operation of both the Museum and the Library. Maintenance, insurance, and upkeep on the buildings are the biggest items. All of this takes money. Matching donations are offered by some corporations. If your company has such a program please consider making a tax-deductible gift to our organization.
