These adorable patent leather and velvet shoes with tiny brass buttons and silk tassels belonged to the Seed sisters, Bessie and Mary Jane. Bessie was born May 2, 1905 and Mary Jane on March 18 1902, both to Harvey Adam and Allie Akin Seed. Allie Akin was the daughter of William John and his wife, Mary Ann Gillespie Akin. Harvey Adam Seed was the son of John and Jane Kirkwood Seed.
