On temporary exhibit now is Zane Parrott’s collection of Havoline items. If you have been in the History Center you have seen Libby Dunseth’s collection of dolls and Bill Hanson’s collection of telephones, but you probably have not seen our collection of Sumner postmarks donated by C A Stillions.

The first post office in Christy Twp was established as Black Jack May 25 1852. When Sumner became a town, it was moved and renamed on September 4, 1855. Follow its postal history by enlarging these photographs.
