"Omer and Leo Tewell, sons of Mrs. Grace Tewell, of South Seventh St., Lawrenceville, who until recently had not seen each other for four years, met by chance in Hawaii a few weeks ago, their mother revealed today.Â
"Four years ago, Leo was sent to Guam Island with the Navy. Two years later Omer entered the service with the US Army, just one month before Leo arrived home on furlough.
"They have tried several times to find each other but without success. Recently, however, Leo heard from home that Omer was believed to be in Hawaii so when his ship anchored there, he started a search. He visited the YMCA, but they had no information. As he started out, he paused a moment to talk with a shipmate. While he chatted, someone tapped him on the shoulder and he turned to face his brother, Omer.
"They spent a few hours together and later spent a day together during which they had their picture taken to be sent home. Both wrote of their delight at meeting after four years.
Omer is a private, first class in the Army. Leo is a first class, petty officer in the Navy."
