Scott Scherer, former officer of the U.S. Secret Service, will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Lawrence County Historical Society on Monday, March 24, 7:00 p.m., at the History Center in Lawrenceville. Scherer, who was assigned to the White House detail, will speak on the history of the agency and his own experiences. Scherer is a native of Lawrence County, and the son of Russell and Roberta Scherer, long-time owners of Lawrenceville Greenhouses.


The meeting is free, and open to the public.
