Twenty-one classrooms, one office, a library, a large assembly room, a large gymnasium, a spectator’s gallery holding a thousand spectators, dressing rooms, locker rooms, boiler rooms, and large wide halls composed the 1917 LTHS building before the “new” gymnasium was added.
Laboratories with microscopes, a wireless outfit, photography facilities, one room with elevated seats, a stage and dressing rooms, shower baths, steel lockers, fire- proof safe, electric clock, electric stoves and ovens, work benches and tools, an indoor tennis court, was all part of the equipment in this building.
Stained glass sky lights in the assembly room, gray and cream tinted walls, copies of masterpieces on the walls, plate glass and marble entrances, enclosed bulletin boards, restrooms, plants and flowers in nearly every window, a terraced lawn, and a sun dial were also a part.
