Dottie Hennessy 1983

In 1983 Dottie Hennessy was named new Personnel Manager for Golden Rule’s Home Office in Lawrenceville. Working with Cathy Rooney, a computer system was set up in Personnel to eliminate handwritten reports.

Dottie had been an employee of Golden Rule since June 1975. Her first job was in Controls, where she delivered computer data to various departments. Later she moved to Legal Department, Marketing, Policyholder Service and Internal Audit. She was also Therese Rooney’s secretary.

In addition to Dottie, her husband Tom worked at the Home Office as administrative assistant to Jack Whelan as well.
