Daily Record May 24, 1974 Obituary



Edwin (Red) Hankins, 62, died suddenly May 23, 1974 at his home at 317 State Street, Lawrenceville. He was born November 23, 1911 in Lawrence County, a son of Edgar Edwin and Anna Ethel Harris Hankins and had been a resident of Lawrenceville about fifty years. He was married December 23, 1933 to Sara Ford and the couple had one son, James Ray Hankins.


“Red” was a retired 40- year employee of Texaco where he had worked as an insulator and brick layer. LCHS is honored to have in its Texaco Collection several items belonging to Edwin Hankins.
