Vincennes Weekly Sun Saturday, August 8, 1874 "On last Saturday night J. W. Harmon and J. M. Calloway succeeded in capturing the somewhat renowned James B. Hallett, who is charged with the commission of a deadly assault upon Capt. Ginn, at a special election in Russellville, some time ago.

He has heretofore been arrested five times, but invariably escaped; but in this last capture he was unable to elude the vigilance of the officers, and he arrived here in Lawrenceville in good condition on Sunday morning. On Monday he was tried before Squire Clubb, and was held in the sum of $200, which he gave and was discharged.
