Lawrence County Historical Society Annual Photo Contest
Official Rules 2016
Theme: Water: Beauty in Many Forms
The third annual Photography Contest’s theme will coincide with the traveling Smithsonian exhibit “Water/Ways” that will be in Lawrenceville September 3 through October 15, 2016. Photos entered in the contest must include some aspect of water and must have been taken in Lawrence County from July 1, 2015, to the date of the contest. Photos should capture the beauty of water in any of its forms: snow, ice, rain, rivers, lakes, dewdrops etc. but should not include people. Both amateur and professional resident or non-resident photographers are welcome.
Entries are to be received by Wednesday July 6, 2016 and will be limited to three prints per participant. Only one prize per entrant will be awarded. Entries may be brought to the History Center Museum (on the Northwest corner of the Square), 619 State St., Lawrenceville, IL on Wednesday July 6, 2016.

Entries must be submitted in both print and digital form.

Prints should be 8” x 10”, submitted on standard mounting material, matted but not framed. Photographer’s name, address, e-mail, phone number, location where photo was taken, and image title should be placed on the back of each entry. Junior division entries should also include age of the entrant.

Digital submissions can be on a disc or thumb drive.
Photos will become the property of the Lawrence county Historical Society and may be used in conjunction with the Smithsonian Exhibit.

Photographers agree to grant to the Lawrence County Historical Society non-exclusive royalty-free right and license to use, copy, publicly display, publish, or distribute images off- or on-line. Credit will be attributed to the owner of the image as space allows.
