This extensive collection includes family histories, newspapers, community histories, maps, photographs, periodicals from other genealogy societies, as well as over 15,000 obituaries, wedding notices, church and school news spanning several decades.

Researchers are available to assist in your search.

Research library hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to noon. 

Appointments are also taken if one can’t make it during regular business hours.

The Lawrence County Historical Society held a ribbon cutting Sunday April 17, 2016 to celebrate the opening of its new research library located at 1100 Lexington Avenue in Lawrenceville.  Julia Ladner donated the building to the Society to provide space needed to house the growing research collections.
