A new Lunch and Learn series will begin this fall. Each of the three programs last fall was sold out and it is expected that this year’s Series will be just as successful.

The first luncheon will be October 7 at 11:30 am on the lower level of the Lawrence County Library and will feature Ann Pratt presenting a program on Laughter and Red Skelton’s Connection to Lawrence County.  The program including lunch will last about an hour.  Tickets for the catered luncheon are $15.00@. The second and third programs in the series will be held the first Wednesdays of November and December and will feature programs on the Language of Flowers and the Music of Irving Berlin.

The library is handicap accessible. The tickets support the on-going projects of the Lawrence County Historical Society.

You won't want to miss these events!  Seating is limited and reservations are now being taken at the Finishing Touch in Lawrenceville, Jane’s Beauty Salon in Bridgeport, the Museum on the Square (Monday’s only) and by mail: send check made out to The Lawrence County Historical Society, PO Box 425 Lawrenceville, Il 62439 and indicate the number of tickets you require and the dates you wish to attend.
