George Bopp

The Society honored Constable George Bopp, whose name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. Bopp was shot in the line of duty on December 26, 1889, while attempting to arrest Tom Palmer on a warrant stemming from a paternity case.The entire story is told in the book Lawrence Lore #2. 

The event was covered by a local television station, WTHI-TV.
